What is KartingStats?
Karting stats is a website aiming to improve on the experience people typically have when using the various apps and websites made available by their favourite karting tracks.
We've often found the experience rather clunky, especially for avid karters who want to keep track of their performance and compare it to others (even more so across different tracks). Our goal is to provide a more streamlined experience, with a focus on user experience and performance. -
The win-order seems to be wrong, why is that?
Our system attempts to determine the correct win-order however much of our historical race data is incomplete making it quite challenging. We have decided (for races we don't know the win-condition of) that the order will default to best lap time as that has been the most common win-condition we've seen from our enriched data.
Going forward, with the help of our community, we hope to improve the accuracy of our race reports, both future and historical using features such as ``Results Sharing'' which is currently in development. -
Why can't I find my race?
We're constantly expanding our database of races, but it’s not yet comprehensive. Some tracks don’t have enough data samples for us to start tracking them, while others are actively being built by our community. Despite our best efforts, some gaps may always remain.
Fortunately, we're developing new ways for you to import historical race data from sources like email-based results systems. Once complete, this feature will help fill in missing races and enhance existing race data with additional details. -
Why is my lap time / lap count wrong?
There are a few reasons why someone's lap time may be slightly incorrect. The main cause is when someone has a time bonus, lap bonus, time penalty or lap penalty. We are currently working on a solution for this to allow users to make these corrects to their times so we can properly reflect a users laps.
